Storm Active: September 28-
During the last week of September, a trough of low pressure formed over the central subtropical Atlantic. It initially moved north, passing Bermuda well to the east, and then turned eastward. It underwent some fairly quick development and was named Tropical Storm Hanna on September 28. Hanna was rather disorganized in the face of westerly shear, with convection displaced east of the center of circulation.
As of 5:00am EDT on September 29, 2026, Tropical Storm Hanna had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, a minimum central pressure of 1002 mb, and was moving east-southeast at 15 mph. For more up-to-date information and the latest watches and warnings, please consult the National Hurricane Center.
